| Dusk - Bough Beech Reservoir, Kent. Since construction of the reservoir and its opening as a fishing amenity in the early 70`s the introduction of game fish to the water also comprised of coarse fish. These fish entering Bough Beech through annual extraction from the adjacent River Eden and inclusive of carp have been a prominant feature to the reservoir, although original stocking numbers remain unknown. The early 90`s hosted the very first fishing exploites for the species, and the last decade has seen in excess of 3000+ carp stocked into the reservoir resulting in a massive head of fish. Being quick growers these fish have flourished in the rich waters of the reservoir producing excellent sport for the pioneering angler. Both challenging and rewarding in nature the reservoir offers new meaning to the words "carp angling" with stunning scenary and fabulous views taking you away from the overcrowded commercial fisheries so common place in todays carp scene. With four miles of fishable bank available no one fishing trip need ever be the same offering fresh challenges irrespective of skill and ability making the water such an attractive venue.
Fishery manager Ken Crow has bought many years of fish husbandry experience to Bough Beech resulting in the rearing and subsiquential stocking of these fabulous carp into the reservoir. Annually the natural growers through each year class are hand selected for introduction into "The Beech" providing only the quality carp fishing expected from such a venue
